Moving with a freezer? It's important you know what to do to make sure the move does not cause any damage to your appliance. Using a dolly, furniture blankets and other accessories can certainly help with the process. However, before moving a freezer it's important that the unit is fully defrosted. Plan ahead a few days and make sure the unit is dry before moving. Also, give your freezer at least 3-4 hours to settle prior to plugging it in again - especially if it was moved on its side.
